Parkwind will sell the electricity from its 250 MW "Arcadis Ost 1" offshore wind project to Vattenfall as the project’s direct marketer

Parkwind and Vattenfall will cooperate in the direct marketing of offshore wind in the future: The Vattenfall Renewables team has been commissioned with the marketing of renewable electricity from the "Arcadis Ost 1" offshore wind farm. The operating company Parkwind Ost GmbH and Vattenfall have concluded an agreement to this effect. Parkwind Ost is a subsidiary of Parkwind N.V. based in Belgium.

Parkwind already operates 3 offshore wind farms in the Belgian North Sea with an installed capacity of 771 MW. Parkwind's 250 MW offshore wind farm Arcadis Ost 1 is being built around 19 kilometres northeast of the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea, in the coastal waters of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. According to current planning, construction is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2022. A total of 27 wind turbines from the manufacturer MHI Vestas will be used. Parkwind expects Arcadis Ost 1 to be able to feed the first wind power from the Baltic Sea into the German transmission grid from the end of 2022.

Chatham Partners advised Parkwind on the conclusion of the PPA. Vattenfall announced further information in a press release.
