Ajla Sophie Deichmann, LL.M. (Bristol)
Ajla Deichmann advises national and international project developers, energy utilities and investors on energy law with a focus on project developments in the field of renewable energies (e.g. offshore wind, geothermal energy, storage solutions and biomass).
She focusses on public law issues along the energy value chain. Ajla supports her clients in particular in permitting and approval procedures as well as in planning approval procedures. She represents her clients in administrative and judicial proceedings.
Ajla studied law at the University of Muenster, Germany and at the University of Bordeaux, France. Additionally, she undertook an English-language course covering Anglo-American law. Subsequently, Ajla studied at the University of the West of England in Bristol where she obtained her LL.M. (Master of Laws). During her legal training, she worked as a research assistant for major international law firms in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. Her legal clerkship included stages at Chatham Partners and at the Permanent Mission of Germany in New York.
