Annika Hensel
Annika Hensel advises utilities, investors and project developers in the field of Energy Law, with a focus on project developments in the field of Renewable Energy (offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, storage solutions).
She specialises on Public law and regulatory issues related to grid access and the design of Renewable Energy tenders. She supports her clients in the context of ongoing project development, in coordinating with the relevant authorities and in administrative and judicial proceedings.
Annika studied law in Münster and Madrid, specializing in European Law. During her studies, she obtained a certificate in legal English and the essentials of Common Law legal system. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant at a law firm specialising in Public law.
She completed her legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court with stations, among others, at the EU Commission’s DG Competition in the area of State Aid for Energy and Environment, at a renowned law firm specialising in Trade Law, and in the Economic Department of the German Embassy in Washington D.C. Annika speaks English and Spanish.
