Jonas Versen
Jonas Versen advises both national and international companies as well as the public sector regarding all matters of European law, administrative and public commercial law and constitutional law. His focus lies on procurement and state aid law, the four market freedoms and the revision of the European legal framework on energy (“Green New Deal”) regarding Green Hydrogen. He supports clients through legal expert opinions, drafting of public-law contracts and representation in both administrative and court procedures.
Jonas studied law in Hamburg and Reykjavík. During his PhD studies, he worked as a research assistant with the „Intellectual Property, Media & Technology“ team of Hogan Lovells International LLP’s Hamburg office. In addition, he taught several tutorials on European as well as constitutional law at renowned Bucerius Law School Hamburg. From 2020 to 2022, Jonas completed his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg, including stages at the Administrative Court of Hamburg, the Europe department of the Federal Ministry for Economic affairs, the “Public Commercial and Constitutional Law” team of GvW Graf von Westphalen and Chatham Partners.
