Lauritz Gerlach
Lauritz Gerlach advises clients on data-intensive matters. A key focus of his work is the use of legal technology and artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the delivery of legal services.
He supports the analysis, standardization, and digital transformation of legal processes, combining technical implementation with a clear focus on workflows and user experience. His approach is holistic: alongside technology, he emphasizes process design and practical, user-friendly solutions.
Lauritz studied law at Bucerius Law School and the University of Texas at Austin. After completing his studies, he served as Assistant Director at the Bucerius Center for Legal Technology and Data Science and earned his Ph.D. at Bucerius Law School under Prof. Dr. Linda Kuschel, LL.M. (Harvard).
In addition, he worked as an advisor to law firms on the implementation of legal technology and contributed as an analyst to studies on the legal market.
During his legal traineeship, he completed placements with a technology-focused law firm and a data protection authority.
