Chatham Partners advises QUEST Investment Partners
Comprehensive legal advice on three property transactions in Hamburg and Munich
Over the past six months, a team from Chatham Partners led by Linn Lehne has advised on three major property transactions for QUEST Investment Partners - a strategic acquisition in Hamburg and two high-quality off-market sales in Hamburg and Munich.
"The development of architecturally sophisticated, innovative and high-quality commercial properties in attractive locations remains a reliable guarantee for stable and above-average investments, even in economically challenging times. These conditions in particular show that those who focus on quality and attractive locations can still realise good prices for project developments today," says Theja Geyer, Managing Partner of Quest Investment Partners.
Acquisition of the "Haus der Seefahrt" in Hamburg
Together with joint venture partners, QUEST Investment Partners has acquired the listed "Haus der Seefahrt" in the heart of Hamburg's historic city centre. The seven-storey office building with approx. 3,300 m² of rental space is one of the most striking historical buildings in the Hanseatic city. Following the acquisition, a thorough revitalisation is now planned in which the unique architecture will be harmonised with modern infrastructure and sustainable standards to enable flexible, future-proof office use.
Sale of the "Tichelhaus" new-build project in Hamburg
Chatham Partners also advised QUEST on the sale of the modern office, residential and commercial building "Tichelhaus" on the corner of Willy-Brandt-Straße/Nikolaifleet in Hamburg to CONREN Land. The new-built property, which was completed at the year end of 2024, comprises around 8,700 m² of rental space and is fully let. Other spaces include high-quality flats with a view of the canal and a gastronomic area.
Sale of the "Leo 7" office building in Munich
QUEST has realised another successful transaction with the sale of the completely refurbished office and commercial building "Leo 7" in a prime location on Munich's Leopoldstrasse to CONREN Land. The property, which offers around 4,600 m² of rental space, was extensively modernised and extended by QUEST prior to the sale.
The legal advice provided included, in particular, due diligence for the purchase as well as the drafting and negotiation of the three purchase agreements. With these mandates, Chatham Partners has once again underlined its strength in transaction advice for complex and high-calibre projects.
The Chatham Partners team consisted of: Linn Lehne, Louica Unger and Dr.Lisa Fey.
