Dr. Christos Paraschiakos

Following his legal studies at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at the University of Sydney, Christos undertook his doctoral studies. During that time, he worked as a research assistant and lecturer for the Commerzbank Foundation Fundamentals of Law Chair at Bucerius Law School, teaching and researching in the fields of public and constitutional law. Christos completed his legal clerkship in Hamburg, including stages at the regional court of Hamburg, at the law firms Andrade & Fichtner Advogados (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and GÖRG Rechtsanwälte (Hamburg) as well as at Chatham Partners. Over the course of his studies, clerkship and working experience, Christos has in particular focused on antitrust, state aid and constitutional law, and has also gained comprehensive expertise in the fields of energy and procurement law.


A further area of his interest is banking supervisory law, a field in which he gained deeper knowledge over the course of his doctoral thesis, “Banking Supervision: Between Risk Management and Economic Regulation”.
