Chatham Partners Advises Insolvency Administrator Dr. Dietmar Haffa

With a team led by partners Jochen Wilkens and Malte Bever, Chatham Partners advised insolvency administrator Dr. Dietmar Haffa (Schultze & Braun) on the takeover of Martin Staud GmbH. The successful transaction ensures the continued existence of the long-established company based in Bad Saulgau. On 1 March 2025, the company will be taken over by the entrepreneurs Tobias Fuhrmann and Dr. Karl Spielberger. The takeover secures more than 100 jobs. Business operations will continue without restriction and the traditional Martin Staud GmbH brand will remain. The transaction is still subject to the usual closing conditions.

Comprehensive legal support for the transaction

Chatham Partners advised the insolvency administrator on all legal aspects of the transaction, from the structuring of the contractual relationships to the negotiation and final drafting of the agreements. A key focus of the advice was on land and property law regarding the company's real estate. As a result, a sustainable solution for the continued existence of the company was developed that reconciles the interests of all parties involved – including creditors, employees, and investors.
