Chatham advises PPS Immo on the sale of the official headquarters of the Tax Authority
We advised PPS Immobilien Holding GmbH on the sale of the listed building "Gänsemarkt 36", the official headquarters of the Finance Authority and the Court of Audit, to the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (Landesbetrieb Immobilienmanagement und Grundvermögen). On 18 April 2023, the Hamburg Senate decided to buy back the Fritz Schumacher building, which covers around 21,000 square metres and is significant in terms of art history and urban planning, for EUR 119 million.
